BIG LAKE MN – A dance partner who’s light on their feet makes doin’ the boogie or foxtrot infinitely more enjoyable. Particularly when compared to a hefty clunker who’s constantly stepping on your toes. On frozen lakes, fishermen find themselves hand-in-hand with a dance part [...]

  • Clam x2 pro thermal-Dave Genz model
I've had my X2 for 7-8 years now (bought first year made) and been very happy with it. It's a little heavy but would rather have heavy duty than light duty. They are better built then all the other clams before it.
  • insulating sled style portable? what works the best?
Before I bought my frabil thermal I had reflectix in my old flipover. It works good but I took tape and put it around every hole that I cut into it for the velcro strips, bars and windows. It will help keep it from ripping where it's been cut.
  • Best remedy for making flip-over poles so they slide smoothly
Sanding the poles with a fine sandpaper will help, too.
  • Ice Gator 42 volt
Can't believe someone with a heckuva lot more money than me has not bought them out yet, taken their technology, honed it, and big boy produced it. As of now would still go with the new ion as the most reputable similar substitute.

If you look at the back of the block near the top cylinder, you'll find the temp sender. It'll have a single tan wire. Simply unplug the tan wire. If sound stops, the sender is bad. If it continues, you have to look into the oil alarm.
  • Secret Word 10/23 to 10/26
2 fish in two hours. Had another 19-20" come off at the boat the cast before the first. 19.25" for the first and 17" for the second. Might get a chance to go to mille lacs this weekend but so far its not a bad start. [img]http://fishingminnesota.com/forum/file/userpics/2014/10/full-43 [...]

[quote]It sounds like it was not winterized properly. Those exhaust risers are EXPENSIVE so you may be better off buying a donor boat. If you can find a fiberglass boat with the same motor and outdrive that has rotten stringers and transom you should be able to pick it up cheap, sell the trailer,

Smooth Moves Ultra seats, A Smooth Ride For better Fishing by Cory Yarmuth Fishing the great lakes and even some of your inland lakes in not so ideal conditions can really take a toll on your body.  Most anglers don’t realize the damage that they are doing to their legs and backs by poun [...]

Bulking Up For Dirty Water Bass. by Chad Peterson - Bulking Up For Dirty Water Bass A lot of people cringe at the thought of fishing a lake with pea soup colored water, I’m talking lakes that swallow secchi disks alive.  I’ve grown to love this particular situation as most of the b [...]

How Quickly Things Can Change by Mitch Bradshaw - Tournament Fishing isn’t for everyone. For some anglers it takes the fun out of the past time or hobby that they love.
