  • new 1800 clam x2 pro thermal
I like to see Clam stepping up their game a bit. I've always been an Otter guy but this Clam shelter looks a lot higher quality than some of their lower end line. I think to top some of the their other competition they've added extra thermal values. It may be warmer but also adds to weight [...]
  • Anyone run a Ski doo with a 900 Ace
I don't have one but I've toyed around with the idea of getting one. My research so far says they have great low end torque but only expect a top speed around 80mpg. Mileage is good, no 2 stroke fumes and no injection oil to buy and they run quiet - real quiet out on the trail. They'r [...]

  • What new gear impressed you last year?
My Tanaka Nils combo was great. I ran the 6" all year chasing panfish. I have yet to see the clam drill plate in action but I believe it would be nice especially fitted with a finbore or lazer. the mora would be good too. My Marcum lx7 has been a great unit as well. All fun stuff to try out.

  • Frog Fishing in the Wind
No good for me. But I never do good on any top water in wind. But if you can find a bay without waves its good. Its the waves not the wind that ruin it.
  • Place to find cats around St.Cloud
Check out the St Cloud Forum. there is a lot of good info in there. but a stating point in that area would be Wilson Park, Riverside Park(by the dam), the new regional park out by the Mc stop. as for bait cut sucker is my preferred bait followed by chicken livers in this area. the average cats are

i've been putting together some videos lately, and me and my good friend tom ran into some cool tough fish in NW ND where we are working. • Bulking Up For Dirty Water Bass.
Bulking Up For Dirty Water Bass. by Chad Peterson - Bulking Up For Dirty Water Bass A lot of people cringe at the thought of fishing a lake with pea soup colored water, I’m talking lakes that swallow secchi disks alive.  I’ve grown to love this particular situation as most of the b [...]
  • How Quickly Things Can Change
How Quickly Things Can Change by Mitch Bradshaw - Tournament Fishing isn’t for everyone. For some anglers it takes the fun out of the past time or hobby that they love. • Lay Over Walleyes
Lay Over Walleyes by HSO Staff by Jason Mitchell Anglers love to follow cliches.  Many of these cliches get taken as bold truths and get repeated until nobody ever questions what the cliche is.  A lot of information is regurgitated and repeated until we get to a point where people just do [...]
  • Pitching Drop Shotting
Pitching Drop Shotting by HSO Staff Author: Matt Johnson When we think of drop-shotting, we typically think of vertical, finesse fishing over a rock pile or piece of isolated structure. Or maybe even a tactic used to pick-off schooling smallmouth bass along expansive flats. Drop-shotting is without [...]
